Evacuation of children continues in Donetsk region (video)

Amid difficult times and dangerous circumstances, ensuring the safety of children becomes a priority for every society. In the Donetsk region, where the situation at the front is worsening every day, the lives and health of the youngest are at risk. The state takes urgent measures to ensure the safety of children and their families. From August 5, 2024, a large-scale forced evacuation of the population from the most dangerous population centers began, and this operation continues with extraordinary speed and coordination. This is a struggle for life, a struggle for the future, a struggle for our children.

Evacuation measures

During the first three days of evacuation measures, 1,010 children from 756 families were rescued from dangerous areas of Donetsk region. Evacuation was carried out both independently by families and with the help of specially organized work groups. All these children and their families are now safe and receiving the help they need. About this informs National Police of Ukraine.

According to the police, the forced evacuation of 28 of the most dangerous settlements in the Donetsk region began on August 5. As of today, 3,723 more children remain to be taken out, which requires significant efforts and coordination.

20 evacuation teams are working every day, which include “White Angel” crews, police paramedics, employees of the State Emergency Service, patrol police and representatives of military administrations. They make heroic efforts to keep children and their families safe while working in conditions of constant danger.
