Farmers’ Congress asks authorities to improve reservation system
The All-Ukrainian Congress of Farmers appealed to the authorities to develop methodological recommendations for regional administrations regarding the criteria for booking farm workers who cultivate up to 500 hectares of land. About this informs service to Congress.
“Currently, a situation has arisen in which only enterprises cultivating more than 500 hectares of land can apply through the Diya portal to receive the status of a critically important enterprise.
At the same time, farms that cultivate up to 500 hectares make up the largest group of agricultural producers and are mostly family farms that, in accordance with the law, use their own labor (the founders are family members).
Because of this, a critical situation has arisen, since such farms apply for the status of critical enterprises to regional administrations, where currently there are no uniform criteria and methodical recommendations for the reservation of conscript workers in the agrarian sector.” – says the statement.
According to agrarians, uncertainty in the issue of mobilization creates unequal conditions for farmers and may threaten the country’s food security. In this regard, the Congress calls on the authorities to provide the possibility of online submission of applications for the status of a critical enterprise for this category of agricultural producers, as well as to clarify the mechanisms for applying reservation criteria at the level of regional administrations.
Congress is convinced that a coordinated approach to the reservation of farmers will contribute to the efficient operation of the agricultural sector and ensure a stable food supply for the population.
