Following the results of “Ramstein” Ukraine will receive military assistance packages from Sweden, the Czech Republic, Canada, Portugal and Finland

Defense Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that following the meeting in the “Ramstein” format, Ukraine will receive military assistance packages from Sweden, the Czech Republic, Canada, Portugal and Finland.

According to Shmyhal, Sweden will allocate $8 billion for security assistance in 2026–2027, the Czech Republic will provide a new package of $72 million, Canada will provide $20 million for winter equipment and missile components, Portugal will transfer $12 million to the British IFU fund for the purchase of weapons for Ukraine, and Finland is preparing the 13th package of military assistance.

Also, following the meeting, a number of countries decided to purchase weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers for $715 million:

  • Norway — $600 million for drones, electronic warfare systems and explosives;
  • The Netherlands — $106 million for strike and reconnaissance drones;
  • Canada — $8 million for interceptor drones;
  • Iceland — 4 million within the framework of the “Danish model”.

“New contributions to the PURL initiative totaling at least 422 million dollars. More than half of NATO member states have already made or declared contributions to PURL,”, – noted Denys Shmyhal.

The meeting in the “Rammstein” format was organized by the Ministers of Defense of Great Britain John Healy and Germany Boris Pistorius.
