Galkin's team assures that there were no Russians at the event, only Ukrainians.
Ukrainian artist MONATIK and Russian showman Maxim Galkin performed at a Ukrainian wedding held abroad. The holiday was held near Lake Como in Italy, where Maxim Galkin was the host and entertained the guests. It is worth noting that he conducted the event in Ukrainian and performed Ukrainian songs such as “Oh, spruce”, “Odna kalyna”, “Gold of the Carpathians” and others. The video from the performance was shared by the bride, Angelina Terska.
MONATIK, who is currently on a charity tour, also performed at the wedding. He performed only Ukrainian songs. Representatives of the singer explained that he agreed to perform at the wedding in order to raise more funds for the Armed Forces. MONATIK had a day off between charity concerts, and it was on this day that the newlyweds invited him to perform.
“This month we had a charity tour of the USA and Canada. During it, a Ukrainian couple invited us to perform at a wedding in Italy. It was the only weekend before the next charity concert in Limassol and an opportunity to increase the collection. Brides from Ukraine, organizers from Ukraine. Dima agreed to make this speech on my day off. The report on donations will, of course, be after our return to Kyiv on July 15.”, – the artist’s team commented.
The management of MONATIK assured that the organizers of the wedding and all the guests were Ukrainians. As for Maxim Galkin, he has an Israeli passport and is not a citizen of Russia.
“There was not a single Russian among the guests at the wedding. All the guests are Ukrainians. Regarding the host of the evening – as far as we know, Maxim is not Russian, but received Israeli citizenship. The event was held in Ukrainian and he sang Ukrainian songs.” – assured the artist’s team.
From the first days of the full-scale war, Maxim Galkin condemned the actions of Russia, which launched a war against Ukraine. The showman actively talks about the crimes of the occupiers and shows what harm they are causing to Ukrainian lands. When the Russian Federation shelled the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, Galkin reacted sharply to this crime.
