For the ex-head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC Tetiana Krupa, they began to pay bail in parts
Tetiana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEK), who is suspected of illegal enrichment, continues to be detained. However, 5 million hryvnias have already been paid for her out of the 280 million hryvnias determined by the court. This is reported “Glavkom”.
Part of the funds, namely 3 million hryvnias, was provided by the suspect’s son Oleksandr Krupa, former head of the Pension Fund division in Khmelnytskyi region. He explained that he used his personal savings. Another 2 million hryvnias was contributed by an enterprise related to the suspect.
Krupa’s lawyer noted that her family and relatives are trying to accumulate all possible funds for partial bail. At the same time, according to her, even a bail of 10 million hryvnias is extremely burdensome for the family, given the seizure of their property and accounts.
We will remind, on October 7, the court sent Tetyana Krupa under arrest with the possibility of making a bail of 500 million hryvnias. Later, after several revisions, the bail amount was reduced to 280 million hryvnias.
On October 4, as part of the criminal proceedings, law enforcement officers searched Krupa’s office and home, as well as her relatives. 100,000 dollars, fake medical documents and lists of patients with fake diagnoses were found in the office. 5.2 million dollars, 300 thousand euros, more than 5 million hryvnias and valuables were found in the house of the suspect. The woman even tried to get rid of part of the money by throwing two bags with 500 thousand dollars out the window.
Krupa is suspected of a number of crimes, including particularly large-scale fraud, money laundering, illegal enrichment and declaration of false information (Articles 190, 366-2, 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Krupa’s defense calls the court’s arrest decision illegal and disproportionate, and the amount of bail is unprecedented. Lawyer Anzhelika Moiseeva stated that such conditions exceed any reasonable limits and are unfair.
