Foreign countries plan to create a “wall of drones” on the border with Russia
The Baltic countries, together with Poland, Finland and Norway, announced a joint project to create a “wall of drones” to strengthen the protection of their borders with Russia.

Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite emphasized that this innovative system will use drones and other technologies to monitor the border zone, identify potential threats and prevent smuggling and provocations from Russia.
“This is a completely new thing – a drone wall from Norway to Poland, the purpose of which is to use drones and other technologies to protect our borders“, – said Bilotaite.
Participating countries plan to develop a detailed project implementation plan with the participation of experts and are studying the possibility of attracting funding from the European Union.
“It is clear that if we agree on joint solutions, we can apply for European funds, if we present the need as a region, there is a good chance that we will receive funding from the European Commission (EC). When it is organized, it is much more useful, so that when you negotiate as a region, you can get a better price”, said the minister.
In addition, the countries agreed to conduct joint exercises on the evacuation of the population in the region to test their readiness for possible crisis situations.
