Four soldiers are suspected of treason and disseminating information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In the Dnipro Region, four persons were informed of suspicion of treason and dissemination of information regarding the location and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. About this reported Specialized prosecutor’s office of the Eastern region.
According to the investigation, the 42-year-old serviceman passed confidential information to an employee of the intelligence center of the Russian Federation. He collected data on locations of deployment, movement of military equipment and units of the Armed Forces in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk region and other regions of Ukraine.
“The priority task was to establish the place of deployment and movement of units and military equipment of the Western model of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the location of F-16 aircraft,” – says the message.
To obtain such data, he involved his familiar military personnel, introducing himself to them as a law enforcement officer. Communication between the participants was carried out through the Telegram chat.
The suspects were detained on the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. During the searches of their residences, evidence confirming their activities in favor of the Russian Federation was seized.
One of the suspects was charged with treason, committed during martial law, under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The other three are accused of unauthorized distribution of information about the movement and location of the Armed Forces in accordance with part 2 Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
