Zelenskyy said that negotiations on the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine will last about a month

The so-called “coalition of the determined” includes not only France and Great Britain, but also other states. Negotiations on the placement of a foreign military contingent on the territory of Ukraine will last for about a month. About this during the briefing stated President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“Since the beginning of work on the idea of security guarantees, we have held a number of meetings. Today we have been working for 2 months. The summary meeting was held today, it is a milestone, very important. This does not mean that only three countries – Ukraine, France, Britain – are included in this process.”, – explained Zelensky.

The President noted that a number of other countries are also interested in joining the mission, but did not specify the exact number.

“It’s going to be a coalition. I think the teams need about a month and we think no longer than that and we’ll be fully ready with an understanding of this infrastructure. We’re discussing the presence on the ground, in the air and at sea, as well as air defense and some more delicate things. We’ll be meeting for weeks and I think we’ll be meeting every week at the military level, where – it’s discussed separately,” – said Zelensky.

He also added that “we have a lot of understanding of what Ukraine needs, where there are sensitive points, where we would like to have support.”

“And it is important that today we discussed the issue of not only the quantity, but the mandate of this infrastructure. For me, it is important to give an understanding at what stage we can already count on the contingent. At what stage of the agreement”, – emphasized the president.

We will remind that the so-called “coalition of the determined” is formed by European states that are ready to provide military support to Ukraine in the form of a contingent within the limits of future security guarantees. Previously, several meetings between the representatives of this coalition took place, but no specific decisions have been made so far.
