FSB Director Blames NATO for Drone Incidents Over Europe

FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov said that NATO special services are involved in the incidents with drones over Europe. He announced this during a meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS Special Services in Uzbekistan.

“Professionals have no doubt that NATO special services are involved in them,“ said Alexander Bortnikov.

According to Bortnikov, it is indicative that in Europe these incidents are linked to the Russian “shadow fleet”. He added that at first the “locomotive” campaign against him was London, which, in his opinion, sought to organize a naval blockade of Kaliningrad and Russian ships in the Baltic Sea.

Bortnikov also accused London of involvement in Operation “Web”, when SBU drones attacked five airfields and destroyed dozens of Russian bombers. According to him, this operation took place on the eve of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations in Istanbul.

“The British provided its further propaganda support, injecting fakes into the media about allegedly huge losses and exclusively Ukrainian “authorship” sabotage, the FSB director stressed.

As a reminder, on October 3, a tanker belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” was detained in France. Its captain will stand trial in February on charges of the crew’s refusal to cooperate with law enforcement. French President Emmanuel Macron said that the vessel could be linked to flights of unidentified drones in Denmark.
