Gepard Hafer elected chairman of the supervisory board of Ukrzaliznytsia

The Supervisory Board of “Ukrzaliznytsia” elected Gepard Hafer as Chairman, and Serhiy Leshchenko as Deputy Chairman of the Board. This was reported by the company’s press service.

“Members of the Supervisory Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” at their first meeting in October 2025 elected Gepard Hafer as Chairman, Serhiy Leshchenko as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board,– the message says.

The company recalled that on October 1, 2025, the government approved the new composition of the Supervisory Board of the joint-stock company. The independent members of the board were selected based on the results of an open competition organized by the Committee for the Appointment of Heads of Economically Important Enterprises with the participation of an international executive search company.

Gepard Hafer is a scientist and specialist in the field of logistics, with experience in Deutsche Bahn.

The Supervisory Board includes:

  • Elżbieta Ewa Bienkowska is the former Minister of Infrastructure and Development of Poland, who also held the position of European Commissioner for Internal Market and Services;
  • Gepard Hafer is a scientist and expert in logistics, former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, with experience in Deutsche Bahn;
  • Maksym Moklyak is the former Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and a specialist in the financial sector;
  • Anatoliy Amelin is entrepreneur and co-founder of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future;
  • Davyd Lomdzhariya is a manager with experience in cooperation with international financial institutions, the current chairman of the supervisory board of “Ukroboronprom” and a state representative;
  • Serhiy Leshchenko is a politician and journalist, former People’s Deputy of Ukraine, also a state representative.

Olexandr Kamyshin, who was appointed last fall, remains the state representative on the supervisory board.
