Government announces digital projects to combat corruption

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is actively developing four digital projects within the “Action” application to fight corruption. Among them are car customs clearance, eExcise system, electronic notary and new construction services. About this reported head of department Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to him, customs clearance of cars through Diya will be an important anti-corruption reform. He emphasized that digitalization of this process will eliminate the human factor and demonstrate how customs can work without the involvement of officials.

The “eAkcyz” system will allow tracking of each unit of alcohol and tobacco. After the implementation of the service, users will be able to check the legality of products directly through “Dia”. This will help the state to reduce losses in the shadow market.

The ministry is also working on creating a unified electronic system for notaries. The first pilot project involves the provision of notarial services via video communication in Diya, which will be another step towards transparency.

In the field of construction, the Ministry of Statistics has already launched an urban cadastre, which will contain all information about construction in cities. Thanks to this service, it will be impossible to falsify urban planning documents and issue permits “in the shadows”. It is planned to develop new digital services for citizens on the basis of the cadastre.

“The electronic system will contain all information about construction in the city, the possibility of “rewriting” urban planning documents and issuing permits “under the table” will disappear. Based on the cadastre, we will launch even more digital construction services for Ukrainians”, – concluded Fedorov.
