Most Ukrainians use AI, but few are willing to pay for it
The vast majority of Ukrainians use artificial intelligence tools in their daily lives, but only a small percentage are willing to sign up for a paid subscription to such services. This is evidenced by the results of a study by Gradus Research.
According to the survey, 85% of Ukrainians use artificial intelligence regularly or at least occasionally. Most often, such technologies are used in work, study, and to search for the necessary information.
At the same time, most users do not want to pay for access to such solutions: 79% choose free versions, while only 6% have signed up for a subscription. Another 8% previously used paid services, but later abandoned them.
The most popular platforms remain ChatGPT and Gemini, which are significantly ahead of other players in terms of usage. The study also showed that young people interact with AI much more actively: among the youngest audience, the level of involvement is about 6%, while among older age groups this figure reaches only about 18%.
In the field of interaction with business, 72% of Ukrainians have already communicated with chatbots or assistants working on the basis of artificial intelligence. Half of the respondents rated this experience positively, while a third still prefer communicating with a person.
As Gradus founder Yevheniya Blyznyuk notes, users are willing to delegate simple tasks to artificial intelligence, but in complex or sensitive matters, in particular financial or personal data-related matters, they trust people more.
