The government has expanded the grant program for arms manufacturers

The government has expanded the grant program for businesses that build new defense industries. For these initiatives, the budget provides 1 billion hryvnias, reported Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

From now on, Ukrainian arms manufacturers can receive a grant of up to 8 million hryvnias for the creation and expansion of their production.

“The 50:50 co-financing mechanism will work. If the state gives UAH 8 million of the grant, then the entrepreneur must also invest UAH 8 million. Even better conditions work for manufacturers of drone components: 70% is given by the state and only 30% must be invested by the manufacturer himself.” – explained Shmyhal.

The head of the government noted that these initiatives are part of the “Made for Victory” program, for which UAH 1 billion is provided in the budget.

“With the support of a united Europe, we are building a new defense and industrial complex capable of protecting not only Ukraine, but also the countries of Europe. Production on the territory of Ukraine is a key component of this program. This means our self-sufficiency, defense capability, economic security and strength.”, – emphasized Shmyhal.

We will remind that in January, the Main Directorate of Defense Innovations organized a demonstration test of FPV drones with control via a fiber-optic cable for representatives of the commands of certain branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
