Government revises terms of preferential mortgage eOselya for frontline regions

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made changes to the terms of the preferential mortgage of the eOselya program. In particular, now in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Sumy and Kherson regions it is allowed to purchase housing older than 10 years. About this reported Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram channel.
Shmyhal noted that these changes are aimed at facilitating the return of people to the de-occupied territories and supporting internally displaced persons. He emphasized that thanks to the eOselya program, 13,000 families have already received their own housing, and the first mortgage payment can be covered with the eRenovation certificate.
The preferential lending program is Oselya
The eOselya program started on October 1, 2022, and initially offered mortgage loans at 3% for military personnel, law enforcement officers, doctors and scientists. Later, it was expanded, and the opportunity to get a mortgage at 7% appeared for all citizens who need to improve housing conditions.
During the program, more than 13,000 people took advantage of preferential mortgages, more than half of which are families of military personnel and law enforcement officers. The total amount of loans issued under the program exceeded 21 billion hryvnias.
The program is financed from the state budget, and the banks receive compensation for part of the interest rate. According to the terms of the program, loans are issued for the purchase of new ready-made objects (up to 10 years old) or for objects in the later stages of construction.
