The Russian army shelled Kherson: 2 people were killed, a medical team was injured

On March 27, Russian troops fired artillery at the center of Kherson, as a result of which two people were killed and four others were injured. Among the injured is the “ambulance” brigade, which evacuated the wounded during the second attack. As a result of the shelling, the electricity supply in the city partially disappeared, the movement of trolleybuses was temporarily stopped, informs Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched. According to the investigation, on March 27, 2025, at around 12:40 p.m., the Russian military fired artillery at Kherson. As a result of the attack, a woman died, and a 56-year-old man was wounded and was delivered to the hospital by medics. As a result of the shelling, objects of civil infrastructure and motor vehicles were also damaged.” – says the message.

Later in the city military administration clarified, that the victim was a 55-year-old woman who received non-life-threatening explosive injuries. Due to the massive shelling, the city is partially without electricity, and experts are investigating the extent of the damage.

At 2:54 p.m. Oleksandr Prokudin, head of OVA reported about one more victim — a man was mortally wounded while at the bus stop:

“The man who was at the bus stop was fatally wounded. My condolences to the relatives of the deceased.”

He also reported that the “ambulance” team that was transporting a 59-year-old man with an explosive injury, contusion and abdominal wound to the hospital came under fire.

“Medics were evacuating a 59-year-old man who received an explosive injury, a contusion and an abdominal wound to the hospital. At that moment, the Russians attacked them. As a result of an enemy strike, a 33-year-old paramedic and a 63-year-old driver received explosive injuries and contusions.” Proskudin added.
