Great Britain has not used even half of the funds of the international aid fund for Ukraine: criticism is growing

Bureaucratic delays have prevented Great Britain from using most of the funds allocated for aid to Ukraine. Of the £900m made available by governments over the past two years, only £404m has been allocated or spent.

He writes about it The Guardian.

Critics say that the International Fund for Ukraine, which is managed by the British Ministry of Defence, is slow to deliver the necessary weapons to the front. The delays are explained by the need to carefully evaluate the numerous defense companies participating in the tenders. The ministers acknowledged that some of the equipment provided for in the contracts will not be delivered to Ukraine until next spring.

The International Fund for Ukraine was established in August 2022 to finance military training and equipment after the Russian invasion.

Failure to use the allocated funds may result in Ukraine not receiving the weapons it needs on time, which puts its defense at risk.
