On the night of May 25, the Russian army launched a massive combined strike on the territory of Ukraine, using various types of missiles and attack drones. The attack covered Kyiv and Kyiv region, Zhytomyr Oblast, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy Oblast, Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Ternopil.
Kyiv and Kyiv region
In Kyiv, infrastructure facilities in several districts were damaged as a result of the enemy attack. In particular, in the Holosiivskyi district, the fragments of the drone fell on a student dormitory, which led to the ignition of the building’s exterior decoration. As reported city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, four people were injured – they received medical assistance on the spot.
In the Dnipro district, a private house was damaged – the second floor was destroyed. The victim was a young woman who had previously been diagnosed with a broken leg. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a business center was damaged and windows in a residential high-rise building were broken – there are also injured people. Another woman was hospitalized in the Desnyan district. In total, 10 victims aged between 18 and 62 were confirmed in the capital.
In the Kyiv region, three people died as a result of the strikes. By data of the regional military administration, two bodies were discovered during the liquidation of a fire in Obukhiv district, one more person died in Buchan district. In the Brovarsky, Bilotserkivskyi, Buchanskyi, Obukhivskyi districts, the consequences of shelling were recorded. Ten people were injured: six in Bilotserkivskyi district (among them two children), two in Fastivskyi, two more in Buchanskyi.
Zhytomyr Region
For message According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, three children aged 8, 12 and 17 years old were killed in the Zhytomyr region as a result of the Russian attack. Rescuers retrieved the body of one of the dead children from under the rubble. A total of 12 people were injured. Ten of them were injured, eight were rescued by the State Emergency Service, all injured were taken to medical facilities.
The attack caused serious destruction: private residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. In the Berdychiv district, two people were injured, including one child. As a result of the shelling, damage was recorded to a five-story residential building, private residences and farm buildings.
Mykolaiv
Vitaliy Kim, head of Mykolayivska OVA reported, that as a result of a night attack on Mykolaiv, 77 people were killed and five people were injured. Among them is the 17th boy, who is in serious condition. Two women are hospitalized, also in serious condition. According to eyewitnesses, a five-story residential building was partially destroyed.
Kharkiv
Oleg Sinegubov, head of Kharkiv OVA statedthat in the Shevchenkiv district two people were injured as a result of a drone attack.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported, which recorded arrivals in Osnovyansk, Novobavarsky and Shevchenkivskyi districts. A civilian enterprise was damaged in Osnovyanskyi district, and an office building was damaged in Shevchenkivskyi. Glass was broken in several multi-apartment residential buildings. Among the injured is a child who was injured by broken glass. As of this morning, three victims have been confirmed in the city.
Sumy region
Sumy and Konotop came under fire, the enemy used both kamikaze attack drones and rocket weapons. By information of the Sumy regional military administration, at night the enemy attacked an industrial facility in Sumy twice with the help of attack drones. This food factory was already under fire in April, and now it has become a target again. Thanks to the operative actions of the workers who went down to the shelter in time, there were no casualties.
Russia also launched a powerful combined attack on Konotop, using missiles and attack drones. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries. Mayor of Konotop Artem Semenikhin reportedthat it was the most massive and combined attack on the city since the Second World War. As a result of the shelling, the infrastructural object in the microdistrict of the city, which was in a damaged state before that, was finally destroyed. According to him, the impact was so powerful that even trees were destroyed on the territory of the facility.
Khmelnytskyi
As a result of shelling in the Khmelnytsky region, four civilians were killed and five more were injured. The explosions caused serious destruction: residential buildings were destroyed, as well as social infrastructure objects were damaged. Chernihiv region
State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations reported that Chernihiv region became the target of an aerial attack by Russia at night, which used both drones and missile weapons. As a result of the strike, several hits were recorded in different areas of the region.
As a result of the attack, warehouses and non-residential buildings were set on fire. The largest fire covered an area of more than 1,000 square meters. 15 rescuers, four units of machinery and equipment from local enterprises were involved in its liquidation. Separately, a hangar with coal and another non-residential building were on fire. The regional center was also shelled — one of the buildings in the city was damaged. Information on possible victims is currently being clarified.
Ternopil
In Ternopil, according to preliminary information, the Russians hit a Kalibr cruise missile, which partially destroyed one of the buildings of an industrial enterprise. A fire broke out in the workshop with an area of more than 1,000 square meters. In addition, windows in nearby residential buildings were damaged. There have been no reports of casualties so far.
