Half of Ukrainian drones fail to reach their targets: BILD

Half of the Ukrainian drones do not reach their goal, crashing before the task is completed. About this in interview an officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign “Lex” told Bild.

According to the publication, the 92nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes the battalion of attack drones “Achilles”, is currently resisting the occupiers in the Kharkiv region. The fighters of this unit use kamikaze drones, in particular German ones, to hunt down Russian soldiers and armored vehicles. However, as the commander of “Lex” noted, only about half of the sorties are successful.

“We’re in the military. And no plan survives actual contact with the enemy. If anything can go wrong, it will. If we’re using advanced equipment in unclear, difficult, and chaotic environments, a lot can go wrong. Honestly , I heard that the normal rate of drone pilots is 30-35%. But it is still far from 100%. I would say that about half of our flights end in nothing. and it’s very annoying. All you have to do is be patient and precise, try to account for as many risks and mistakes as possible.” – said the officer.

It is also known that Ukrainian drones recently detonated 2,000 tons of ammunition in warehouses in southern Russia, causing local earthquakes. These explosions were so powerful that they were recorded even from space.

Meanwhile, radio technology expert Serhiy Beskrestnov, known by the nickname “Flash”, reported that the Russian military has begun equipping its reconnaissance drones with FPV technology. According to him, this concept is also being developed in Ukraine.
