In Austria, luxury cars were arrested in the case of the ex-head of the State Property Fund Sennychenko

Austrian law enforcement officers discovered and seized property used by suspects in a criminal organization headed by the former head of the State Property Fund, Dmytro Sennychenko. About this reported press service of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

“At the request of the SAP prosecutor, the head of the joint investigative team, in order to implement the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court, the Austrian law enforcement agencies arrested and confiscated the specified property“, the message says.

Earlier, within the framework of the same case, the French law enforcement officers confiscated the real estate of the suspects in the amount of almost 6.5 million euros. Work is currently underway to search for other property of members of the group, as well as their search and preparation for extradition.

Sennichenko is suspected of leading a criminal group that, in the period 2019-2021, appropriated more than 500 million hryvnias of funds from state enterprises, in particular, such key facilities as the Odesa Port Plant and the United Mining and Chemical Company. In addition, he is charged with the legalization of criminally obtained income in the amount of more than 10 billion hryvnias.

In March 2023, NABU announced suspicion against Sennychenko and his accomplices. However, it was possible to detain only a few people, including acting director of “OPZ” and adviser to the chairman of the FSMU. Seven more persons involved in the case, including Sennichenko himself, were charged in absentia, after which they were declared wanted.
