In early 2025, the Register of Seized Assets will be updated with new data
An updated version of the Register of Seized Assets will be launched early next year, which will include data on foreign currency government bonds and international interagency agreements. This was announced by Olena Duma, Head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).
She noted that during the year, ARMA had repeatedly appealed to international partners and the Ministry of Digital Transformation to improve the Register. The terms of reference and requirements for the updated structure of the Register have already been discussed with partners.
It is planned that in January 2025 the Register will contain additional data on:
- foreign currency government bonds;
- seized assets transferred to the state under a special procedure;
- appraisers and their reviews, with relevant documents;
- ARMA territorial departments responsible for asset management;
- international interagency agreements.
Work is also underway to expand the parameters of the Register, which will eventually include information on land plots, real estate, seized funds, amounts returned to owners, the number of decisions to lift arrests, residential and non-residential real estate.
Duma added that ARMA has contacted international organisations from Singapore to Portugal to obtain information on stolen assets located around the world.
‘So, we will inform you about the results of such interaction, which allowed ARMA to expand the capabilities of the Register of Seized Assets so that everyone can see these assets and how the Agency manages them,’ she concluded.
