In Kremenchuk, Poltava region, there was a shooting at the CCC, there are injured

In the Poltava region, in Kremenchuk, a shooting occurred at a territorial recruitment center – a conscript opened fire with a pistol, wounding two servicemen. This was reported by the spokesman for the Poltava regional CCC and SP Roman Istomin.

According to him, the police brought the conscript to the assembly point of the Kremenchuk district CCC and SP. While processing the documents, the man took out a pistol and fired several times.

“During the inspection of his belongings, when the policeman asked about the presence of prohibited items, the citizen took out a pistol, previously, it was a “TT” pistol, converted from a traumatic one. As for security measures, they are at a high level, it happened, one might say, in a buffer room, during the paperwork, Roman Istomin said.

Two servicemen were wounded in the shin and were hospitalized. The suspect was detained. Investigations are currently underway.

The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets commented on this case and called on citizens to act exclusively within the law, respecting human rights:

“I call on everyone — both employees of the CCC and the Joint Venture, and citizens — to act exclusively within the law, to respect human rights. We must remain united even in the most difficult times.

He stressed that he systematically responds to appeals regarding the unlawful actions of individual employees of the CCC and the SP, in particular in cases of “busification”, illegal detention and the use of physical force. Each such case is checked, and the guilty must be brought to justice.

At the same time, according to Lubinets, there is also “another dangerous trend” – emotional and thoughtless actions of citizens in response, which can lead to tragic consequences:

“Such actions of both employees of the CCC and the SP, as well as citizens – are not only violations and crimes, but also a blow to the state in conditions of war. They not only pose a threat to people’s lives and safety, but also help the enemy achieve its goal – to discredit Ukrainian institutions, sow distrust, and divide society.
