In May, Ukraine exported $3.3 billion worth of goods

Deputy Minister of Economy, trade representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka reported, that in May 2024, Ukraine exported goods worth more than $3.3 billion, which is only 0.5% less than in April.
Key facts:
- There is a significant increase in the export of metallurgical products, in particular semi-finished products, flat rolled products and pipes.
- Exports to the EU increased by 1.7% compared to April and amounted to $1.867 billion. Exports to Poland increased by 12% and reached $365.8 million.
- Exports to China decreased by 30% due to a seasonal reduction in corn exports
- Exports to India increased by 85%, mainly due to increased sunflower oil exports
According to the minister, a significant increase in metallurgy exports was recorded in May: semi-finished products – 184,000 tons (40% more compared to April), flat rolled products – 117,000 tons (an increase of 17%), seamless pipes – 51,000 tons (an increase of 50 .2%).
It is noted that during the 11 months of the 2023-2024 marketing year, almost 47 million tons of grain were exported, including 17.4 million tons of wheat, 2.4 million tons of barley, and 26.6 million tons of corn.
