In Poland, liquid cocaine worth $ 2 million was found in a shipment of wine

In the Polish port city of Gdansk, law enforcement officers discovered and confiscated a 44-liter shipment of liquid cocaine with an estimated market value of approximately 7.5 million zlotys (US$1.85 million). The drugs were hidden in crates of vintage wine. About this informs Reuters.

The operation to detain contraband cargo was carried out by employees of the Maritime Border Department in Gdansk together with Czech customs officials. The cargo with drugs was seized in the Lublin Voivodeship, located in southern Poland.

A container of wine and hidden liquid cocaine was shipped from a Panamanian seaport and transported through European customs points, including Ostrava, Czech Republic.

According to the Polish Border Service, the drugs were carefully disguised, which made their detection difficult. However, thanks to international cooperation, it was possible to track and detain the suspicious cargo even before it was distributed.

At the moment, three people have been arrested in connection with the case, and the law enforcement officers do not rule out the possibility of new arrests.
