In Sumy region, the Russian army struck a humanitarian aid distribution site: there are wounded

On May 20, Russian troops struck with a drone at the place of delivery of humanitarian aid to residents of the village of Velyka Pysarivka, Okhtyr District, Sumy Oblast. As a result of the attack, 2 people were injured, informs regional prosecutor’s office.
Under the procedural leadership of the Okhtyr district prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation is underway in the war crimes case (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation materials, on May 20, 2025, at around 11:00 a.m., the Russian military launched a drone attack on a place where residents of the village of Velyka Pysarivka, Okhtyr district, were receiving humanitarian aid.
As a result of the attack, a 57-year-old man was injured and taken to the hospital. Another 51-year-old victim was treated on the spot without hospitalization. Prosecutors, together with other law enforcement agencies, record the consequences of the shelling. The investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Okhtyr District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Oblast.
In addition, on the morning of May 20, around 10:00 a.m., a Russian drone struck a private household in the Esman community of the Shostky district of the Sumy region. As a result of the explosion, the 60-year-old headman of the village was injured.
