In the German city of Hanau, unknown people drew 50 swastikas with human blood on cars and walls

The Hesse state police in Germany reported that dozens of red graffiti were found on cars, walls and mailboxes in the city of Hanau – about 50 images in total. After conducting tests, law enforcement officers determined that the swastikas were drawn with human blood. It is currently unknown who it belongs to.

“The starting point for the investigation was a report at 10:40 p.m. by a man who noticed a reddish liquid on a car parked on Plantagenstrasse. It was applied in the shape of a swastika on the hood of the car. The police officers who arrived at the scene found similar symbols on other cars in the surrounding areas (Karl-Marx-Strasse, Friedrich-Engels-Strasse, Dartforder-Strasse, Breslauer-Strasse). In total, according to preliminary data, about 50 cars were recorded – many of them were stained with the forbidden symbol, ”, – the police reported.

During the 16-hour investigation, swastikas were also found on the walls of houses and mailboxes. The police called on the residents of Hanau and the entire state of Hesse to report similar cases. An investigation has now been launched into the facts of damage to property and the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations (§ 86a of the German Criminal Code).

Let us recall that in modern Germany, the use of the swastika as a Nazi symbol is prohibited by law, with the exception of its appearance in an artistic or educational context. In official reports from authorities and law enforcement, this sign is not called a “swastika”, but a “swastika”.
