A 60-year-old woman was convicted in the Kyiv region. She received a prison sentence for the intentional murder of her own son, committed with particular cruelty.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation established that conflicts had arisen between the relatives for a long time due to alcohol abuse.
“On the day of the tragedy, while also drunk, A woman came to her 37-year-old son’s apartment. She went into his room where he was sleeping and poured a flammable substance on him, then set him on fire. The burns she received were fatal – the man died in the hospital, the report says.
In court, the woman partially admitted her guilt. Under Part 4, Part 2, Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, she was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
