In the Odesa region, a teenager was detained who set fire to two substations

In Odesa, a 16-year-old resident of the Safyaniv community was detained, who set fire to two transformer substations in the Izmail district for a monetary reward. About this reported in GUNP of Odesa region.

The investigation established that at the beginning of December, the boy came across an ad for “easy earnings” on the Internet. An unknown person offered him to set fire to transformer substations for money.

“Having agreed, he looked for objects, bought gasoline, and in the evening went to pour them over and set them on fire. The attacker filmed the result of his actions and sent it to the customer for a report on the “work” performed, after which he received a reward on his bank card. – the message says.

The law enforcement officers seized from the suspect the clothes he used during the arson, a mobile phone with a video report, and a bank card on which the money was received.

The boy was declared a suspect for h. 2 Art. 194-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional damage to energy facilities). He faces up to 10 years in prison.
