In Ukraine, 40.7 thousand citizens receive unemployment benefits

At the end of May, the number of Ukrainian citizens receiving unemployment benefits was 40,700. Such data made public State Employment Service.

Today, the maximum amount of assistance varies from 3.6 to 8 thousand hryvnias. As of the end of May, about 1,200 people received minimum payments, and almost 11,000 received maximum payments.

The largest number of aid recipients was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region — almost 4 thousand people, in Kharkiv region — 2.6 thousand, and in Poltava region — 2.5 thousand. The fewest payments were made to the unemployed registered in the Kherson region — 380 people, as well as in Zakarpattia — just over 800 people.

At the end of April, the number of those receiving unemployment benefits exceeded 41,000. There were 42,000 such persons in March, and 45,000 in January and February. Thus, in six months, the number of recipients of this assistance decreased.

At the same time, the number of vacancies where employers offer housing is growing in Ukraine. The reason is the shortage of personnel on the labor market. Since the number of job offers exceeds the number of registered unemployed, more and more employers are willing to provide housing to candidates.

According to the data of the State Employment Service, more than 230,000 ads are posted on the Unified Job Portal every day. At that time, the number of registered job seekers was about 127,000.
