The National Health Service of Ukraine announced a competition for vacant positions of members of the Public Control Council (RCC). The Council was created to ensure public oversight of the activities of the National Health Service, to increase the transparency of decision-making and to involve the public in the development of the health care system.
The Council monitors compliance with the principles of openness and accountability in the work of the National Health Service, participates in the development and discussion of key areas of state policy in the field of health care, promotes the establishment of communication between patients, medical institutions, public organizations and the National Health Service, as well as analyzes the problems of providing medical services and develops proposals for their solution.
The RGK is formed from 15 people selected by rating online voting. In accordance with the Procedure for conducting the competition and the Regulations on the Council, approved by resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 437 of April 23, 2024, one-third of the members are rotated every year in order to attract new active members of the public.
Candidates can be submitted by public associations that have been working for more than three years in the fields of protecting patients’ rights, developing health care, providing medical services, drug circulation, or combating corruption. Internet voting will take place on the website of the NSZU from October 20 to 24, 2025.
