In Ukraine, they invented a new way of evading receiving a real summons. People’s deputy, member of the “Party for the Future” parliamentary group, Anna Skorokhod, on the air of “Noviny.LIVE” told about the sale of blank forms with stamps. A conscript who has purchased such a form can fill it in with his data and show it during the document check.
“They sell you a blank subpoena form with a seal and signature. When you are stopped, you enter your data, put the date and say: I have a subpoena, I am going to collect the subpoena tomorrow. The price for such a form is from one thousand hryvnias.” Skorokhod said.
Anna Skorokhod also spoke about another corruption scheme. According to her, people were detained at the border and taken to the territorial procurement center (TCC). There, the lawyers offered them “release” for $4,000.
“One person said that he was detained near the border, brought to the TCC, and then a lawyer came to him in a minibus and said that for $4,000 he could help leave. Most agree. Detainees are taken out through a hole in the fence, invisible to the TCC, and then the lawyer takes them away.” – the deputy explained.
