Zhytomyr company suspected of supplying gas boilers to the Russian army: SBU

The Security Service of Ukraine revealed the activities of a Zhytomyr company that supplied gas boilers to Russian military sanatoriums. About this informs SBU press office.
“According to the materials of the case, the head of the sales department of the Zhytomyr company, which produces heating boilers and convectors, was involved in the organization of the equipment. It was established that since May 2022, the Ukrainian manufacturer secretly sold products to Russian enterprises that cooperate with the government structures of the Russian Federation.
Among the main customers of the Ukrainian firm was a company in Kursk that supplied heating systems to military sanatoriums of the aggressor country. – says the message.
According to the SBU, in order to circumvent sanctions, the participants of the scheme first sent Ukrainian products to affiliated companies in the EU and Central Asia, where they were “repackaged” under the credentials of foreign companies.
Then the goods were re-exported to a controlled enterprise in Belarus, from where the goods were sent to Russia. In general, the participants organized the supply of several wholesale batches of Ukrainian heating systems to the Russian Federation for a total amount of 65 million hryvnias.
The SBU investigators informed the head of the sales department of the Zhytomyr company about the suspicion under part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (complicity in helping the aggressor state). The figure is being held without bail and faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property. An investigation is currently underway with the aim of bringing to justice all persons involved in the organization of this scheme.
