In Zaporizhia, a “shaheed” hit a high-rise building: there are injuries

On the morning of December 16, a Russian Shahed-type strike drone hit a multi-story residential building in Zaporizhia, causing a fire and injuries. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhia OVA, Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, after the hit, a fire broke out in the building, which forced some of the residents to be urgently evacuated. As a result of the attack, one man was injured by shrapnel, and another woman was poisoned by carbon monoxide. Later, Ivan Fedorov clarified that the number of victims had increased to three people.

As reports Zaporizhzhia OVA, due to the strike of the “shaheda” fire engulfed apartments on two floors of the high-rise building. In total, fires were recorded in four apartments, and rescuers evacuated residents of the upper floors from the building.

Emergency services were working at the site of the Russian strike. More than fifty rescuers and 14 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. So far, the fire has been extinguished.
