Interpol announced an international wanted list of ex-SBU general Naumov

Interpol announced the international wanted list of the former general of the Security Service of Ukraine Andriy Naumov at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). He is suspected of illegal enrichment in the amount of 3.2 million hryvnias, informs DBR press office.

“On August 26, 2024, Interpol published a red alert regarding Naumov in the records of the General Secretariat”, – the department’s press service noted.

Earlier, on June 7, 2022, a former SBU general was detained while trying to cross the border between Serbia and North Macedonia. 592,000 euros, 120,000 US dollars and two precious stones were found in his vehicle.

Naumov lost his position as head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the SBU at the end of July 2021. In Ukraine, he was charged with misappropriation, embezzlement or possession of property by abuse of office, as well as fraud and causing losses to the state in the amount of more than 3.2 million hryvnias. Naumov denies his guilt.

In January 2024, Naumov was released from a Serbian prison on charges of money laundering, but is now wanted again on new charges.
