Israeli law enforcement officers did not receive reports of an alleged attempt on Timur Mindych
Israeli law enforcement officers have not received any reports of an alleged attempt on Ukrainian businessman Timur Mindych. This was stated by Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk.
According to the ambassador, the embassy does not have information about this incident, and no appeals from citizens to law enforcement agencies about an attempted attack on Mindych have been received.
Previously, Mindych entered Israel legally, after which the NABU published details of the investigation into the corruption scheme at Energoatom. According to the investigation, he led a criminal group that received bribes from contractors of the energy company. At the same time, the State Border Service reported that the businessman left abroad on legal grounds and that there were no orders for his detention at that time. Mindych also had the right to leave because he is the father of three minor children.
On December 10, during a court hearing, Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky stated that on November 28, an alleged attempt to attack Mindych in Israel occurred, during which a housewife was injured, and the criminals were arrested. Representatives of the Israeli police, including press secretary Michal Zingerman, denied this information, noting that law enforcement agencies have no confirmation of these words. Other police sources also confirmed that information about an attempt on Mindych was not recorded.
