Kharkiv and its suburbs were attacked by attack UAVs: fires broke out, there are wounded

On the afternoon of April 22, Russian attack drones launched a massive attack on Kharkiv and the surrounding areas. Explosions rang out in the city. Strikes were recorded in at least four districts of the city, fires broke out, residential buildings and civil infrastructure were damaged. So far, 10 people are known to have been injured. informs Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

“There is information about the wounded. According to preliminary calculations, 12 strikes were carried out in the city. There were fires at the places of some of the airstrikes. Four districts of Kharkiv were hit. Information about the consequences is being clarified.”, says the message.

Ihor Terekhov added that the number of wounded in Kharkiv had increased to 10 people. According to him, people are in a state of moderate severity.

“I want to say that shelling during the day, as well as shelling at night, is very dangerous. We see that at night, when Kharkiv is pounded, there are wounded, victims, serious destruction, that during the day, when people are going to work or from work, or standing at public transport stops, driving in their cars and being hit by “Shahedy”, this is terrible. This is real terrorism against the population of Ukraine.” Terekhov commented on the attack on Kharkiv.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Spartak Borysenko, clarified that an attack by Shahed-type drones was carried out in Kharkiv, of which 12 were hit in the Shevchenkiv, Kyiv, Novobavar and Slobid districts of the city.

The Malodanyli community was also under fire.

“As a result of one of the drone strikes, there is no electricity supply in some settlements. The energy companies have been informed, everything will be restored soon.”
