Kharkiv attacked by “Shaheeds” again: hits recorded in several areas of the city
On the night of May 17, Kharkiv was subjected to another attack by enemy strike drones of the “Shahed” type. This was reported by the city’s mayor, Igor Terekhov.
The first hit was recorded in the Saltivskyi district – near multi-storey buildings. As a result of the impact, seven cars caught fire, about ten more were damaged. The blast wave broke out the windows of the surrounding buildings, and the street lighting network was also damaged.
In addition, the fall of fragments of an enemy drone was recorded in the Kyivskyi district. Later, it became known that a UAV had been hit in the Kholodnohirsky district, where a fire had broken out, as well as in the Osnovyansky district. In the Kholodnohirsky district, falling debris broke out windows in a high-rise building.
At about 6:14, the enemy also struck the Shevchenkivsky district with a combat drone. The consequences of this attack are being clarified.
According to Igor Terekhov, as of 8:00 there was no information about casualties. All relevant services are working at the sites of the hits. The mayor also thanked the air defense forces, which destroyed a significant part of the enemy UAVs flying towards Kharkiv that night.
