This year, Ukraine’s imports exceeded exports by two times

In the period from January to October 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth $67.8 billion, while exports amounted to $33.2 billion. This was reported on November 11 by the State Customs Service.

The total trade turnover increased by 10% compared to last year – from $92 to almost $101 billion. At the same time, the negative trade balance increased by 50% and reached $34.6 billion, which means that imports more than double exports.

The main suppliers of goods to Ukraine remain China ($15.1 billion), Poland ($6.4 billion) and Germany ($5.4 billion). The largest share of imports is made up of machinery and equipment, chemical products and fuel and energy products.

Among the main export destinations, Ukraine supplied the most to Poland ($4.2 billion), Turkey ($2.2 billion) and Germany ($2 billion). Last year, the top three looked different – Poland, Germany and Spain.

The largest items of Ukrainian exports remain food products – $18.2 billion (which is 10% less than last year), metals and products made of them – $3.9 billion, as well as machinery, equipment and transport – $3.1 billion.
