Khmelnytskyi region came under massive attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. Air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were actively working in the region. However, a series of explosions were heard in the regional center, which led to a fire.
According to preliminary data, the threat to the city began at 11:40, after which reports appeared of a hit in the Grechany area.
As a result of the attack, the sky over the city was filled with smoke, and rescue services began to eliminate the consequences of the fire. The head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, Serhiy Tyurin, confirmed the presence of victims among the local population. Initial reports indicated one injured woman, but the data was later updated by specialized services.
“As of now, two injured people are known”, — the Khmelnytskyi Regional State Administration noted.
In parallel with the attack on the western regions, shelling was recorded in other regions. In the central part of Kherson, an unmanned aerial vehicle hit a shuttle bus owned by the municipal enterprise of the city council. Russian forces carried out this strike at 11:15. Emergency services were at the scene of the incident to provide assistance and record the consequences of the strike on civilian infrastructure.
An air alert continues to operate in the Khmelnytskyi region due to the recording of new groups of drones in the direction of the Shepetivskyi district. Air defense forces remain on high alert to repel further threats.
Ensuring the safety of the civilian population and responding promptly to emergencies remain priority tasks for local authorities and military command under martial law.
