Three Pentagon officials fired due to leak of confidential information

Three high-ranking officials of the US Department of Defense have been fired amid an investigation into the leak of confidential information from the Pentagon. About this informs Political.
These are Deputy Chief of Staff to Defense Secretary Darin Selnik, Chief of Staff to Deputy Secretary Steven Feinberg — Colin Carroll, and Senior Advisor Dan Caldwell. All three were placed on leave earlier this week amid an ongoing investigation.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s chief of staff, Joe Casper, is also expected to leave his post soon. According to one of the senior officials, Kasper will receive a new assignment within the ministry.
In March, it was Casper who initiated an internal investigation into leaks about military operational plans, including the Panama Canal, the movement of aircraft carriers in the Red Sea, Elon Musk’s visit to the Pentagon and the end of intelligence gathering on Ukraine.
We will remind that on April 16, one of the main advisers of Defense Minister Pete Hegseth, Dan Caldwell, was removed from his post. The reason was suspicions of unauthorized disclosure of information, which is currently being investigated.
