Law enforcement officers detained recruiters who, on the orders of the Russian Federation, recruited Ukrainians to arson in the EU (video)
The group of recruiters was organized by a 39-year-old resident of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, who was in contact with employees of the Russian special services.
During the last few months, reports of arson on the territory of European countries have appeared in the information space. In a number of cases, sudden fires destroyed thousands of square meters of commercial space, and Ukrainians were among those arrested for these crimes. informs National Police.
Law enforcement officers note that there are currently several cases of destruction of commercial establishments in Poland and the Baltic states due to fires. The perpetrators also received an order from the FSB of the Russian Federation to set fire to one of the humanitarian aid centers for Ukraine located in Poland.
According to the plan of the Russian special services, the attacks on shopping centers, warehouses and critical infrastructure facilities were intended to destabilize the internal situation, discredit Ukraine and its citizens on the world stage, spoiling relations with partner countries.
After carrying out operational measures, the law enforcement officers discovered a group of persons who in Ukraine carried out a thorough selection of pro-Russian citizens to perform tasks of the FSB abroad.
The organizer of the group of recruiters was a 39-year-old resident of the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Having direct contact with employees of the Russian special services, recruiters regularly received “orders” from their supervisors.
After identifying the target for arson, fake official-style documents were made for the agents, which allowed them to travel abroad without hindrance. Bank accounts were also opened for financial transactions.
Arriving at the scene of the planned crime, the perpetrators developed a plan for arson, ensured its fixation and planned inconspicuous ways of escape.
Payment for the work performed was made in parts: first an advance was paid, and the rest of the amount was transferred after the arson was carried out and this was confirmed in media publications. According to operational data, the destruction of the humanitarian aid center for Ukrainians in Poland was planned in the near future.
