Lubinets said that 169 thousand Ukrainians do not receive pensions due to bureaucratic obstacles of the Ministry of Social Policy
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinetz stated that due to the bureaucracy of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity, 169 thousand Ukrainians still do not receive pension payments.
According to Lubinetz, thousands of citizens have not been able to receive their pensions for months due to the complexity of the procedures and the lack of proper interaction between state registers.
“I have repeatedly raised this issue at the relevant Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and received support from people’s deputies, demanding one thing: state registers must finally “talk” to each other. There are still no real changes!”, ‒ Lubinetz wrote.
The Ombudsman emphasized that the reason for the delays is the lack of necessary decisions at the government and line ministry levels.
“The most absurd thing is that 70% of applications to our office come from IDPs living in government-controlled territory.
They are officially registered and present in the IDP databases, but the Pension Fund “does not see” them until the person personally submits a paper application,” ‒ Lubinets emphasized.
