Point of view

Maksym Zhorin spoke about mass training courses for the population, the militarization of the entire society, and the Ministry of Return of Ukrainians

Ukraine found itself in a reality that was unimaginable just a few years ago. The country is in a state of full-scale war, which has been going on for the third year. According to Maksym Zhorin, deputy commander of the Third Assault Brigade, mass training of the population, as an element of the militarization of the entire society, is a critical necessity. Moreover, it should become a priority of state policy.

“In Ukraine, mass training courses for the population are needed. And understanding on the ground that this should not be organized on paper, and not as another option for corruption schemes.

We have long needed to realize that the country lives in a different reality. No matter how much we would like it, it will not be as before – safely, calmly, quietly. Weapons from Western partners are only a part of what is needed, including those that do not depend on us.

Instead, we directly depend on the level of education of citizens, who must at least know how to put turnstiles! But understand that this turnstile should not be a Chinese fake.

The mass training of Ukrainians, the militarization of our entire society is a critically important story for the survival of our nation as a whole. All this should be organized at the state level, systematically, and with the allocation of the necessary resources. Absolutely in all regions, because there are no safe places today.”, – wrote Zhorin in his Telegram channel.

In addition, today Ukrainian society is actively discussing another government initiative — the creation of the Ministry of Return of Ukrainians. At first glance, this seems like a logical step in the context of the difficult situation associated with the mass emigration of Ukrainians due to the war. However, this idea causes a mixed reaction among citizens, experts and public figures, because many believe that the creation of new state structures at this stage is not only inappropriate, but also diverts resources and attention from the urgent challenges facing the country.

Maksym Zhorin wrote about this in Telegram:

“Judging by the initiative to create the “Ministry of Return of Ukrainians” – we have already solved all other important issues in the country. Although, in my opinion, more relevant today would be, for example, “Ministry of Construction of Fortifications”, “Ministry of Motivation to Serve in the Army ” and “Ministry of Timely Detention of Pro-Russian Agents”.
