Maryana Bezugla disrupted the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence
People’s deputy Maryana Bezugla disrupted the closed session of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, in which representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine were supposed to participate. About this notified people’s deputy, committee member Iryna Friz.
“ Today, a closed meeting of the VRU Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence should be held to discuss a key issue for our defense capability – financial support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, she noted.
Fries specified that Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and his deputies had arrived to participate in the meeting.
“There should be a professional discussion about spending and needs of the defense sector. The leadership of the ministry lost 45 minutes of their working time due to the fact that Bezugla interrupted the closed meeting of the Committee, refusing to leave the hall and violating the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, – emphasized the member of the profile committee.
At the same time, she recalled that Bezuglu was excluded from the National Security Committee, as leaks of information after closed meetings with her participation led to the refusal of the military leadership to participate in such events.
“After switching to an open format, committee members got acquainted with the public part of the minister’s presentation”, the deputy added.
We would like to remind you that on September 19, the Verkhovna Rada passed a decision on the dismissal of Maryana Bezuglai from the post of deputy head of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, as well as on her exclusion from the committee.
