The Ministry of Defense strengthens control over the supply of special transport for the State Service of Special Transport
The Central Department of Quality Control of the Ministry of Defense will begin the inspection of goods purchased for the State Special Transport Service (SST). First of all, this concerns the supply of fuel and lubricants in large volumes. About this reported Ministry of Defense press office.
Also, food and tangible property, including ammunition and personal protective equipment, will be subject to inspection if the cost of their purchase exceeds the established financial threshold.
“We strive to ensure uniform quality standards for all goods received by the units of the Ministry of Defense. This is essential to maintaining high combat readiness and guaranteeing the safety of every soldier.”, – emphasized the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk.
In order to increase the effectiveness of control, the DSST will have access to modern laboratories of the Ministry of Defense.
“The Central Department of Quality Control will allow the DSST to carry out detailed tests of goods supplied to units in its laboratories. Thanks to this, we will be able to timely identify possible deficiencies in deliveries and promptly eliminate them.” – explained the head of the DSST Administration, Major General Oleksandr Yakovets.
