Men of conscription age can get services at Ukrainian consulates in Poland
The consulate of Ukraine in Gdańsk explained the new rules for Ukrainian citizens in detail.

Recently, a lot of different and sometimes false information has been received regarding the provision of services by Ukrainian consulates to men of conscription age. The Ukrainian consulate in Gdańsk told about the new rules. About this informs uamedia.eu.
At the end of April 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”. It provides that the performance of consular actions in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in the conditions of martial law based on the applications of Ukrainian male citizens aged 18 to 60 who have not updated their personal data within the terms stipulated by this Law is carried out on the condition that they are simultaneously updated.
The validity of military registration documents is checked by a consular official of a foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the Cabinet of Ministers. According to these regulations, consular services will be provided to men of draft age upon presentation of an electronic military registration document, or e-VOD for short.
E-VOD is an electronic document that is displayed in the application on the user’s smartphone and contains reliable data from the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists. Now such a document can be photographed in the “RESERVE+” application, which can be downloaded for free in Google play and the Apple store.
At the same time, it is worth noting that in order to receive consular service, the electronic military registration document must be valid and up-to-date, that is, it must have been created no earlier than 3 days before applying to the consular institution. If the validity period of the document exceeds 3 days, before applying, you need to re-form it in the conscript’s electronic account.
However, there are some exceptions to this rule. The requirement to present an electronic military registration document will not apply to men of conscription age for the purpose of:
- issuing an identity card for returning to Ukraine;
- taking consular actions in relation to children of a citizen of Ukraine, whose second parent is a foreigner or a stateless person (must be confirmed with available copies of passports);
- taking actions based on the statements of Ukrainian citizens who are under arrest, detained or deprived of liberty abroad.
