Military Attaché of the Ministry of Defence of Norway starts work in Kyiv

The Ministry of Defense of Norway established a new position of military attaché in Kyiv, which is a significant step in strengthening military-industrial cooperation between the two countries. About this informs The Defense Forum.

The military attaché appointed at the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine will play a key role in ensuring communication between Ukrainian and Norwegian scientific and industrial circles, in particular in the areas of defense innovation and industrial development.

This new position is of great importance, as it opens up opportunities for the activation of joint projects in the field of defense. In particular, as Norwegian Defense Minister Björn Arild Gram noted, Norwegian companies are ready for long-term investments and cooperation with the Ukrainian side. Such initiatives are aimed at meeting the large-scale needs of Ukraine in military equipment and the latest defense solutions.

The minister emphasized that the active participation of private companies is necessary for the effective recovery and development of the defense sector of Ukraine. Norway, in turn, is eager to share experience and technological solutions that can be useful both in the short and long term. He also emphasized the fact that, given the strategic importance of Ukraine, Norwegian companies are considering the possibility of setting up production directly on the territory of the country. This can become the basis for further economic development and recovery of Ukraine after the war.
