Mindich commented on the NABU case in Israel
In Israel, the journalist spoke with businessman Timur Mindich, who is suspected in Ukraine of organizing criminal activity, money laundering, and influencing the Minister of Defense in the “Midas” case.
The meeting took place in the city of Herzliya, where, according to Mindich, he currently lives with his family. In a comment to the journalist, the businessman confirmed that he was aware of the announced suspicion, but emphasized that he was not hiding and did not consider it possible to publicly talk about the details of the criminal proceedings until the investigation was completed.
Mindich stated that his lawyers would comment on the legal aspects of the case, and, according to him, a “media case” had formed around him, built on fragments of conversations taken out of context.
“Everything in its turn: later everything will be revealed, and I will give a full interview. Now I can be accused of everything – even the war in Israel“, – he said.
During the conversation, Mindich admitted to being acquainted with the head of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, while at the same time denying any illegal influence on their decision-making. He refused to answer questions about possible agreements on the supply of bulletproof vests, noting that this is the subject of an investigation.
Commenting on his stay abroad, the businessman explained that he was under strong psychological pressure in Israel and decided to take his family there for security reasons. Mindich also responded to reports of an attack on a film crew near a residential complex, denying any involvement in the security or organization of the incident and stating that he does not have personal security in Israel.
According to the investigation, Timur Mindich is suspected of organizing a criminal group, money laundering and influencing officials. He himself calls these accusations groundless and states that he is ready to publicly comment on the case after the completion of investigative actions and in court.
