The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has officially allowed the use of semi-automatic shotguns

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially approved the Safari HG-105M semi-automatic shotgun, which is now codified for the needs of the military, for use in units of the Defense Forces. About this informs press service of the department.

Equipped with a gas-piston mechanism and a detachable magazine, this shotgun can be used effectively both in close combat in a confined space and against Russian FPV drones when loaded with hunting pellets. The Safari HG-105M is made in a bullpup layout, which allows you to reduce the overall length of the weapon without shortening the barrel, as well as to optimize the balance by moving the center of gravity closer to the shooter. This makes it easier to control the weapon and reduces the load during prolonged use.

The weapon is designed to fire 12-gauge cartridges, and the magazines hold five to ten rounds. The weight of the shotgun is slightly more than 4 kg.

For manufacturers and developers of weapons, who need additional information on codification, the Ministry of Defense suggests contacting the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons at the email address: [email protected].
