In Ukraine, the implementation of the “baby package” monetization project is underway. Instead of a box of essentials for babies, parents can receive monetary compensation. In 2024, its amount increased to 7,689 thousand hryvnias.
This was reported in the Department of Social Protection of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
“The payment is one-time. Parents receive the funds in a special account. They can be used to purchase children’s goods: hygiene products, clothes and shoes, toys, walkers, strollers”, – explained the director of the department Olena Krishen.
In order to apply for financial assistance, one of the parents needs to apply to the social security unit or the National Social Security Administration. The application can also be submitted online – on the Diya state portal. To do this, you should go to the eMalyatko tab.
Documents required for registration:
- Passport of one of the parents;
- child’s birth certificate;
- details of the bank account to which the compensation will be transferred.
- Application consideration period: 10 working days.
- Payment of funds: within 7 working days from the date of decision on payment.
