NABU detective Ruslan Maghamedrasulov announced the disappearance of 2.5 thousand euros during a search of his property

The head of one of the detective units of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, Ruslan Maghamedrasulov, who was recently released from custody, reported the disappearance of funds during searches conducted on him as part of criminal proceedings. He stated this in an interview with Radio NV.

According to Maghamedrasulov, after returning from vacation, he left about 2.5 thousand euros in his apartment in Dnipro. After searches, which, according to him, were conducted by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office, this money disappeared. He noted that none of the family members saw this amount again.

Answering a journalist’s question about the possible theft of funds during the investigative actions, Maghamedrasulov confirmed that he believed so. He added that searches were carried out at all addresses associated with him, in particular in Kyiv and Dnipro. According to him, the funds found during the searches were not entered into the protocols and their location is currently unknown.

Maghamedrasulov also commented on the information about Russian passports and banknotes allegedly found in his apartment. He stated that these items have no relation to the searches conducted on him and he does not know where they came from. In his opinion, this is another evidence of the artificial creation of the case and the fabrication of evidence.

In addition, the detective claims that his relatives were subjected to both covert and overt surveillance for the purpose of psychological pressure. He also stated that individual contacts in his phone were detained, searched and, according to him, physical force was used on them in order to obtain the necessary testimony.

On July 21, the Security Service of Ukraine announced to Ruslan Maghamedrasulov suspicion of preparing to abet the Russian Federation. According to the investigation, he, together with his father, a farmer from Donbass, Sentyabr Maghamedrasulov, planned to sell industrial hemp seeds to Dagestan. Both men were taken into custody, but they denied their guilt.

On November 11, the NABU announced suspicions against Timur Mindich and his alleged accomplices in a case of large-scale embezzlement in the energy sector. After Andriy Yermak resigned on November 29, the courts decided to release Ruslan and Sentyabr Maghamedrasulov from pre-trial detention.

On December 19, Ruslan Maghamedrasulov stated that while in pre-trial detention, his father lost sight in one eye, and he himself was under constant pressure from SBU officers, who, according to him, tried to make his conditions as difficult as possible.
